Description

The Corryvreckan Cask Strength whisky from the Ardbeg Distillery is named after the nearby treacherous whirlpool that has sent many ships asunder. In the same beckoning way this layered dram draws you into its depths. With robust use of peat and through a prolonged maturation in both ex-bourbon barrels and French barriques, the resulting whisky is powerful yet nuanced, with equal measures of smoke, salt, sweet and citrusy notes colliding in a whirlpool of contrasting flavours.
