Description
First created in 1937 by Shinjiro Torii, Suntory’s founder and first Master Blender, this was initially named “Suntory Whisky,” but became lovingly known as Kakubin, or “square bottle”, due to its unique presentation. That name and the square-cut, tortoise-shell design have remained for more than eighty years. An easy-drinking and highly versatile Japanese bar standard, the Kakubin highball is the go-to for many Japanese out for a night of dining and fun.
