Another stunning whiskey from the torchbearers of American Single Malt, Oregon’s Westward Distillery has created a whiskey with a marriage of two malts with the inclusion of malted Chocolate Rye. More commonly used in European dark beers for its deep chocolatey flavours, it was used here to add an earthy spice, caramelised notes of stone fruit and nutty biscuit flavours to compliment the malted barley.
