Proudly Melbourne based, Starward source all their ingredients within a day’s drive of their city distillery and use red wine barrels to import maximum flavour. A uniquely Australian producer of character and interest. Like Tawny #1, Starward Tawny #2 Single Malt Australian Whisky was fully matured in Tawny fortified wine casks (both fresh and charred). Their distillers then threw in some puncheon and hogshead barrels for fun, which allowed them to showcase the vibrant tropical notes of their Starward spirit. Expect welcoming flavours of dried fruits, toasted oak and brown sugar. As warm and comforting as Nan’s fruit cake. Alongside these welcomed tropical notes, Tawny #2 immediately gives way to dried raisins and toasted oak on the nose with complimentary flavours of brown sugar and rich dried fruits coming through on the palate.
