Description
Using parcels of fruit from the Four Winds and Walaroo vineyards, the Gundog Estate Shiraz 2019 vintage is 100% shiraz, opposed to the small inclusions of Viognier in past vintages. With each parcel of fruit, a combination of whole-berries and crushed fruit were cold soaked for two days prior to warm fermentations. 12 moth maturation in French oak puncheons resulted in a vibrant, intensely aromatic, and medium bodied wine. A regional combination of dark fruit and higher spice notes enclosed in that glove of velvety tannin.
