Description

Inspiration for this shiraz comes from the most traditional of techniques. This is to highlight the ideal temperate, maritime climate for the classic Australian varietal. The fruit for the Cape Mentelle Shiraz 2020 is partially destemmed, sorted, cold soaked, and then fermented. This is an opulent, riper style capturing the rich textures and flavours of this variety in Margaret River. There is spiciness on the nose with more aromatic ginger and apricot. The tannins are quite assertive, but they are and thread seamlessly through the plush fruit flavours.
