Orlando is one of the oldest brands in Australian wine, having been established in 1874 by the Gramps family. Hilary Adelaide Hills Chardonnay is a thoroughly modern and elegant Australian Chardonnay that offers a creamy style with subtle flavours and approachable character. The restrained use of oak balances the quintessential Adelaide Hills fruit character. Carefully selected parcels of fruit were fermented individually in a combination of new and one year old 300L and 500L French oak barrels. Partial malolactic fermentation was used to build texture while retaining freshness. A selection of specific barrels was used to create a balanced blend. Barrel fermented and matured 9 months in oak. Hilary brings an air of elegance and complexity in creamy, lees-derived aromas of honeysuckle and nougat with white peach and nectarine.
