This multi-award-winning Limeburners Darkest Winter Cask-Strength uses peat collected by hand from the deepest, darkest parts of the Valley of the Giant in the Great Southern region of WA, not far from the distillery in Albany. It’s the only whisky in the world using this peat source which gives it a unique flavour. The barley was smoked for an extended period, resulting in a heavier, more intense style of whisky ideally suited for those dark winter nights. The whisky was matured in an ex-bourbon American Oak cask yielding 214 bottles and at 62.9%alc, is bottled directly from the barrel with no added colouring or chill filtration.
