Akkeshi distillery has a cool, moist climate with frequent rolling sea fog that blankets the town. This climate is perfect for the production of whisky with similar characteristics to Islay malts. This 200ml release is designed for collectors and we loved this so much we bought all the 12 bottles that the Australian distributor was given! This ‘Sarorunkamuy’ limited release is Akkeshi’s their first ever single malt release (aged for more than 3 years). This first single malt release was matured in carefully selected bourbon, sherry, red wine and Mizunara casks.
