Nick Spencer Gundagai Light Dry Red Blend 2019 is inspired by the Australian ‘Burgundies’ of the 50’s 60’s and 70’s. This wine pays homage to the classic light bodied Shiraz and Shiraz/Pinot blends mastered by Maurice O’Shea. This wine has aromas of cranberry, sour cherries, and strawberries. The palate is vibrant and crunchy with beautiful tannins and structure. Pair this wine with pizza or BBQ. Can even be enjoyed slightly chilled on those hot summer days. The fruit was sourced form two mature vineyards just south of the township of Gundagai on rich volcanic iron rich soils. All the components of this wine were fermented separately and blended together prior to bottling. The wine was matured in old puncheons with no new oak.
