Product Description:Pinot Noir finds rare clarity in the limestone soils of Arbois. Domaine du Pelican’s Saint-Laurent Pinot Noir is drawn entirely from the organically farmed Clos Saint-Laurent, a high-altitude site layered with Bajocian limestone scree over grey marl. First made in 2018, this cuvee signals a turning point for the domaine, known for its precise Jura whites and now producing Pinot with equal restraint and drive. The 2023 vintage shows the variety through a distinctly Jura lens: lifted, fine-edged, and mineral. No new oak is used. Ageing takes place in seasoned Burgundy barrels and large tuns, allowing the wine’s structure and site expression to come forward without distraction. It’s a style built on freshness and finesse, echoing the domaine’s philosophy of clarity and quiet complexity. Tasting Notes NOSE – Bright and floral Strawberries, dried roses and a whiff of liquorice, underpinned by earthy spice and crushed herbs. PALATE – Silken and savoury Delicate yet vibrant, with cranberry and wild strawberry flavours, fine tannins, and subtle herbal lift.
