Crafted from both malted and unmalted barley, the whisky is distilled in rare stainless steel pot stills under vacuum pressure, a method borrowed from shochu that tempers heavier compounds and yields a lighter, silkier spirit. Maturation takes place in a thoughtful mix of new American white oak, ex-bourbon, and re-charred ex-shochu casks, layering subtle sweetness and gentle bitterness in balance.
