Product Description: Barolo from the heights of Serralunga d’Alba. Massolino’s classic Barolo is a benchmark of the region, first bottled in 1911 and still drawn from seven estate sites surrounding the village. These chalky, high-altitude slopes sit on the eastern edge of the appellation, producing Nebbiolo of structure, perfume, and longevity. The 2021 vintage is built from vineyards including Briccolina, Collareto, Broglio, and Le Turne, with vine age averaging 40–50 years. Fermented in upright oak vats, then aged 30 months in large Slavonian botti, it captures both the power of Serralunga terroir and the clarity of modern organic viticulture. Franco and Roberto Massolino, with Giovanni Angeli (formerly of Vajra), continue to refine the style—balancing tradition and contemporary precision. The result is a Barolo that shows its pedigree young, yet has the backbone to age gracefully for decades.
