Tapachula is a sustainable rural community located where the Suchiate river crosses with the Pacific Ocean in south-east Mexico’s untamed state of Chiapas. Rums of Mexico is housed in the original sugar mill in Chiapas, Mexico, which is surrounded by spectacular tropical jungles and banana farms. Since 1948, the family-run distillery has produced outstanding rums and aguardiente for three generations. It produces the only Mexican rum to ever win an international award in the history of the American Rum Industry, and it is the distillery in Mexico with the most international awards. This single blended, 6 year old cask aged rum has a rich amber hue, and bouquet saturated with the aromas of coffee, chocolate, allspice, cinnamon and nutmeg, all of which carry through to the palate along with the flavours of cloves, anise and caramel all play in stupendous balance — long spicy finish. Deadhead 6 Year Old Mexican Rum is an excellent sipping rum. Assertive aromatics and brilliant flavours make it a great choice for use in classic Tiki cocktails.
