Description
Pur Sang is French for thoroughbred. The label evolved from Didier Dagueneau’s frustration at how often wine writers were referencing the fact that he used a horse to till some of the vineyards. The first label was a photographic representation of a horsehide rug! Domaine Didier Dagueneau Pur Sang 2018 vintage wonderfully vinous, sappy, complex white with all kinds of spicy, smoky, and citrus like fruit. Excellent texture, and certainly ripe, but more racy and juicy. You will find notes of cumquat, nectarine, honeysuckle, fresh mint, and white pepper. A never ending finish.
