The William Fevre estate owns more than 50 hectares in the heart of the Chablis vineyard, of which more than half are in Premier Crus and Grand Crus. Les Preuses is probably taken from the word Perreuse” (stone), the name given to the ancient Roman road which ran below the current vineyard.
