To Giaconda, wine marking should always seek balance and be subtle. Their wines are hand-crafted according to a natural wine making process. To them, that means using indigenous yeast for fermentation, ageing in French oak barrels, minimal sulphur additions, and no filtration before bottling. The Giaconda Estate Vineyard Chardonnay 2016 vintage has a golden hue with a bright green rim. A complex signature of reductive characters complimenting hazelnut and peach notes infused with lemon zest and ginger. The palate is taut and compact with a strong mineral edge drawing out white peach fruit. A powerful and assertive example of chardonnay that combines multifaceted flavours with latent power.
