The GlenDronach is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, creating their finest richly sherried single malts for nearly 200 years. It is of true Highland style: a heavy and robust spirit, perfect for a long maturation period in sherry casks This GlenDronach single cask was distilled in 1990 and left for 27 years to mature in one Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon. Only 632 bottles worldwide were produced. If you’re a GlenDronach fan then this one is not to be missed. The legs on this whisky are incredible making you think it’s going to be luscious and sweet. Christmas mince pies with chocolate orange melted over the top. Freshly cooked jam with lashings of Sherry balances well with the fresh oak. Lovely peppery finish.
