Jaspi Negre is a beautiful red blend from the DO Montsant region of Spain. Containing 45% Grenache, 25% Carignan, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Syrah, this classic blend packs a punch of alcohol that is nicely countered with soft, velvety and well structured tannins. Ripe strawberry, raspberry and blackberry flavours come to the front, with herbaceous and spice overtones to round out this Spanish blend. Jaspi Negre was aged 4 months in French and American oak barrels and one year in underground cement vats. Jaspi wines are the emblematic of the Montsant and Terra Alta wine appellations. They allow wine drinkers to explore the region at a more sensible price point.
