Kooyong Haven Pinot Noir 2011 opens with dark, deep fruited aromas infused with Asian spice notes, and very complex tea leaf. A richness and power comes surprisingly given the difficult vintage conditions. This wine was a great depth and suppleness. It it has a lovey savoury yet ripe dark berry fruits and red currants on the palate. There are layers of complexity with a most attractive spice and blackberry liqueur character on the back palate.
