Of the La Trappe beers, the Quadrupel is the heaviest. Amber in colour, this a full flavour beer and pleasantly bitter. From its time being matured in oak barrels, it has an intense, warm flavour. Slightly toasted, malty sweet, and pleasantly bitter with a sweet aftertaste. Identifiable aromas include banana, almond and vanilla.
