Mac Forbes RS5 Riesling 2021

Being from the Yarra, it is easy to see why Mac Forbes produces such amazing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. But there are good reasons why his Rieslings are legendary too! He searched everywhere for a vineyard producing high-quality Riesling which he finally found in the Strathbogie Ranges. The fruit for the RS5 2021 is from the third Riesling pick, pushing into the riper stone fruit side of the spectrum with white peaches and green mango characters. Good palate weight and firm structure, with hints of iodine and ginger drawing out the back palate. The fruit was de-stemmed and crushed before being pressed. Matured in stainless steel on fine lees.
