Description
Pittnauer Pitti 2018 The grapes for the Pittnauer Pitti 2018 are sourced from various top sites around Gols with younger vines and soils incorporating red pebbles, clay and limestone. A blend of two indigenous Austrian grape varieties, Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch, grown on black soils close to the Pittnauer winery in Gols in Burgenland, Austria. The 2018 Pitti was matured for 12 months prior to bottling. Cranberry meets sarsaparilla meets cherry cola aromas. Crunchy textured, shows more of the cherry cola, cranberry juice flavours, crisp texture, ultra fresh feeling, good dusting of spice, peppery finish and corkscrew of tannins in tow. Great drinking here. – April, 2019, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front 92 points The Finer Details Style – Red Wine Varietal – Blaufrankisch, Zweigelt Country – Austria Vintage – 2018 Bottle Size – 750ml ABV – 12.5%
