Product Description Hungary’s Tokaj region remains one of the world’s great homes of sweet wine. The Royal Tokaji Company was founded in 1990 with the aim of reviving this historic style after the fall of communism. Today it produces benchmark expressions of the region, from Aszú wines to this Late Harvest cuvee, which offers an accessible yet finely made entry into the Tokaji tradition. The 2019 vintage benefited from a hot summer and a favourable October that encouraged noble rot to develop, concentrating flavours while retaining bright acidity. A blend of Furmint, Hárslevelű and Yellow Muscat, the wine was fermented in tanks before five to six months of barrel ageing. With around 95 grams per litre of residual sugar balanced by 6.9 g/L acidity, it is light, refreshing and finely structured, showcasing Tokaj’s hallmark purity.
