These lean, well-drained soils and the region’s long, dry growing season shape a Chardonnay of striking finesse and natural acidity. Each parcel is handpicked, whole-bunch pressed, and fermented as individual lots before maturation in French oak, bringing subtle texture without obscuring the wine’s mineral edge. Founded by Michael Hill Smith MW and Martin Shaw, Tolpuddle Vineyard has come to define modern Tasmanian Chardonnay.
