Product Description: Vietti’s inaugural Barolo Riserva release, drawn from the hills of Serralunga. The 2017 vintage marks a new chapter for the estate, built from decades of observation and parcel selection. Sourced from a single east-facing vineyard at 350 metres above sea level, this Riserva represents a top-tier refinement of Vietti’s approach, powerful yet composed, structured yet aromatic. With 60 percent whole-cluster fermentation and extended ageing in large oak casks, the wine captures both the gravitas of Serralunga and the quiet control that defines Vietti’s house style. Just 5,000 bottles were produced. This is a rare expression of Nebbiolo from a producer long respected for their clarity and precision, now in a form built explicitly for the cellar. Tasting Notes NOSE – Complex and expressive Truffle, dark cherry, blackberry and plum layered with balsamic herbs, violet and earthy spice. PALATE – Structured and powerful Velvety tannins frame ripe black fruit, dried flowers, tobacco and savoury depth. FINISH – Persistent and age-worthy Chalky and fresh, with balsamic lift and long, layered red fruit.
