Caroline Morey’s 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge reaffirms the pedigree of Pinot Noir from this white wine stronghold. The fruit comes from three parcels just below the village: Les Chenes, Les Pierres and Les Chambres. It is handled with the same care and clarity that defines her whites. The vintage brought freshness and precision, captured here with 35 percent whole bunches and a gentle 12-month elevage. Bottled early to retain vibrancy, the wine is pale in colour, finely textured and lit with lifted red fruit. Small production and increasing demand continue to make these reds a quiet favourite among Burgundy collectors.
