The Mac Forbes Wesburn Chenin Blanc is drygrown organically since the early 2000s. It is direct press to barrel for a long, slow ferment. There is minimal sulphur added and bottled after 12 months. For the 2017 vintage, the fruit had a long slow ripenning due to a cool year. This wine is full of flavour but is tight and has restrained acidity. Mac Forbes Wesburn vineyard was planted in 1981. It is in the far easstern reaches of the Yarra Valley, sitting on what some consider to be marginal viticultural land.
